Censeo Continues its Support of the American
Cancer Society
Censeo team participates in the annual
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K walk.
October 28, 2006
WINTER PARK, FL – A team of Censeo Corporation employees,
family members and friends walked in the annual Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer 5K event held today at Lake Island Park
in Winter Park, Florida. Through its efforts, Team Censeo
raised both dollars and awareness to support the American
Cancer Society’s unique mission to fight cancer on four fronts:
research, education, advocacy and patient services. The Winter
Park walk, which this year brought out over 3,000 participants
and raised close to $500,000 total, is the largest in the
state of Florida.
“We sponsored a team last year, and it was such a positive
experience, we decided to make it an annual event,” stated
Censeo Marketing Manager Marty Windsor. “It’s such a
worthy cause, and since several of our employees’ family members
and friends have been affected by cancer, it’s especially
meaningful and personal for those of us who participate.”
As the nation’s largest non-governmental breast cancer research
supporter, the American Cancer Society has invested more than
$271 million since 1972 to give those touched by breast cancer
more reasons for hope. Since 1993, Making Strides events nationwide
have been responsible for raising more than $160 million.
